USB Extender via CAT5 for HSPA Modem

Usb extender helped you that the difficulty got the signal 3G. Please follow the steps:

1. Build-up
Extends One Self-Powered or Bus-Powered USB Device up to 150 feet.

2. Handmade
Enabled the distance through to 20 metre.
a. Gather your parts:

• USB Cable
• UTP Cable
• Small PVC Pipe
• Rubber tape
• thermofit / heatshrink

b. The making of Part (a)
Open the UTP and USB cable. Put the small PVC pipe in the UTP cable. Put the thermofit in the USB
cable. Then connect it like this:

• white orange & orange to red,
• white & green to white,
• green to green,
• and the rest to black.

c. The making of Part (b)
Fit the pipe in the connections and close it with rubber tape. You’re finished! Try it.

Has been tested used the Sierra Wireless Compass 855 HSPA modem

Remarks:
The suggestion, used the new firmware C885_J1_0_1_26AP that was to get optimal result.
